Claude Arrieu – Concert on April 19 and 20 –
This concert is a tribute to composer Claude Arrieu who attended « Forge » Honfleur and knew Florence Marie very well.
Born in 1903 and daughter of pianist, Claude Arrieu quickly developed a personal style. A pupil of Paul Dukas in 1928, Claude Arrieu was a very prolixist composer.
In 1936 she joined the service of French broadcasting programs. His repertoire of works is varied and borrowed from originality. His style is often described as neoclassical with modern influences.
